Queries Sent Through Search Tools
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is transmitted to the independent provider that operates the tool. Swift County Released Inmates does not store or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its receipt and handling of the search.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the details needed to read the request and respond. We do not share a message outside the organization unless a valid legal duty requires disclosure.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine web systems may record basic technical and usage details when a page loads. These records can include:
- The Internet Protocol address associated with the request.
- The browser name and version.
- The device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- The date and time of each request.

Swift County Released Inmates links to Sheriff and corrections pages, court and release records, government locators, and outside search services. Once you follow a link, the destination’s privacy notice controls what it collects and does with your data. Minnesota government access to public data is governed by the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, including Minnesota Statutes section 13.03; that public-record law is separate from this private-site notice.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to recognize activity across different sites and select interest-based ads. Their tracking occurs under their policies and controls, not ours.

Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted personal information, use the Get in Touch page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the nature of the data held, you may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal information associated with you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete personal information that we are not required to retain.
- Stop certain processing where an opt-out right applies.
Requests about data held by a Sheriff, court, MNDOC, search provider, ad network, or analytics service must go to that organization because we do not control its records.

We may revise this privacy notice as the site, service providers, or legal duties change. The updated text will appear here and will identify its new effective date. Continued use after posting means the revised notice applies.
